Hello, remember me?

Here I am again to tell you some things about our trip to London.

I loved everything there - our cultures are different, but I felt delighted with all I saw.

We visited lots of places and none of them were desapponting.

I had great fun with my friends and even had the opportunity to make new ones from the other Lancaster College schools.

On the first day, when we saw "The Phantom of the Opera" we had a surprise waiting for us in the end... Sofia Escobar, the main actress of the play!! I took a photo with her, my friend Alexandre and my teacher Liliana Maia. It was an important moment for all of us.

Obviously this was not the only photo we took... I didn't get enough of taking photos and showing up in photos!

Everyone was very friendly to me and I felt really good. I was only sad that my mother, Belisa Moreira, the secretary of Lancaster College Valongo wasn't able to come with me.

What else to say? I loved every minute of it.

In the end all of us were felling happy and the truth is, Lancaster College has a great team and organizes wonderful events. Learning at Lancaster is really fun, it gives us much more than just theoretical knowledge.

US IN LONDON

           

Hi, everyone! We’re going to talk a bit about our adventure in London. Hope you like it!!

Our trip started like everyone else’s. We arrived at the airport and soon met our travelling companions.

           

Everything was perfect until boarding time. Then, all of a sudden, our team got divided. 

Two hours later, we arrived at Stansted Airport and went to London by couch.

Back in the city, we went to the hostel, had a light dinner and got dressed to see the amazing “Phantom of the Opera”. We met Sofia Escobar and went to have a real dinner at Planet Hollywood.

When we got back to the hostel.... Surprise, surprise! Our teacher and the other students were waiting for us at a typical British pub... Our team was reunited again!!!

The next day, we woke up early and went sightseeing. We saw all the iconic monuments (the London Eye, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, the Tower Bridge, and so many more...), went on a cruise on the Thames and we had lunch at a traditional pub.  In the afternoon, we went to Madame Tussauds and the Hard Rock Shop.

           

It was decided that we could have dinner where we wanted to, and so the four of us decided to go shopping and have a picnic at a nearby park just in the middle of four huge hotels. We did that for the rest of the days we were there and it gave us the opportunity to meet some Londoners and also other tourists from different nationalities and actually practice our English. We even found out that there had been a Rolling Stones concert in Hyde Park, which was just in front of our hostel. Awesome!!!!

Our favourite parts were going to the theatre and meeting Sofia Escobar, all the street markets, and finally meeting some of the other students from the different Lancaster Colleges.

We hope to repeat the experience any time soon.

It was FUN-FREAKING-TASTIC!!!!!!!
